HRT Construction with Jan
It’s time to learn the Half Rectangle Triangle! You can make many versatile designs on your quilts with this block. Using the HuRTy 1 ruler makes the construction easy with minimal fabric waste.
For this class quilt, you can make all the blocks with HRTs. Maybe choose a solid in a rainbow of colors as shown below, or choose seven columns of coordinating fabrics. Ombre versions would also look great! Coloring sheets will be available before the first class to help you plan.
Another option would be to add blocks of your background fabric in place of some of the HRT blocks like the sample quilt in the shop. It is all up to you!
For free motion quilters, the diamonds on this quilt make for a great way to practice a variety of the designs you are learning in small defined areas.
